Power Generation

Our products have been specifically formulated to meet different needs in the power industries. Tekat products are used successfully in gas turbine and boiler power plants, worldwide.

Combustion Catalysts

Combustion improvers are critical for increasing combustion efficacy. They also have a direct effect on power plant maintenance, reducing maintenance costs and associated downtime.

Corrosion Inhibitors

Use of residual or low quality fuels will lead to excessive corrosion due to its inherent Vanadium content. If fuel is left untreated, key components will, over time, corrode and become damaged beyond repair.

Tekat can offer enhanced corrosion protection products based on Magnesium compound chemistry for use in both Boilers and Gas Turbines.

Stabilizers & Dispersants

As the fuel quality varies and degrades over time, it presents a problem for long-term fuel storage. Asphaltene and wax can precipitate inside the tank or pipelines and cause blockages.

Tekat’s oil soluble portfolio of stabilizers offers a greater fuel stability for residual and heavy fuel oils and their blends.

Engine Additives

Fuel additives for Gasoline and Diesel:

Heating Oil

Tekat’s premium domestic heating oil additives are formulated to provide customers with an optimum performance of the heating system, a reduction in running costs and environmental pollution.

Using our heating oil additives, customer will maximize the efficacy of their heating oil system by:

  • improving fuel stability (Antioxidants / Polymerisation inhibitor)
  • providing anti-corrosion protection for key components
  • improving low temperature operation
  • controlling deposits / enhanced detergency
  • contributing lubricity due to reduced S-content

Marine

Large ships burning Marine Fuel Oil (MFO) and Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) deal with a range of operational issues, including black particulate smoke emissions, cold corrosion damage to metal surfaces and sludge build-up in fuel delivery systems. Tekat’s product range of components for heavy fuel oil treatments offer a solution to such problems.

Our organometallic combustion improvers will maximize the fuel economy and increase power output as well as reduce emissions which are becoming of increasing concern for environment.

Marine Fuel Oil and Heavy Fuel Oil both have heavy end constituents such as asphaltenes and wax that separate over time, leaving sludge deposits in the fuel storage tank, fuel lines and injection systems.

Tekat additives were specifically designed to prevent and also treat the deposition and precipitation of paraffins and asphaltenes.

Biofuels

Tekat’s Biodiesel (FAME) fuel additives:

Biodiesel (B100) and biodiesel fuel blends fuel storage stability

Tekat’s Biodiesel (FAME) fuel additives:

  • Our biodiesel stabilizer is very efficient antioxidant and polymerization inhibitor for FAME, especially for RME & SME (Rape oil- & Soya oil-Methyl-Ester)
  • Formulated to achieve a premium stability of B100 as well as correct an out-of-specification product bringing it back to a sellable in-spec FAME.

Fully formulated multipurpose additive package used to improve the quality of B30 diesel fuels

At recommended treat rates it provides diesel fuels with the following performance features:

  • Prevents/ removes problems associated with accumulation of injector deposits in
  • direct and indirect injection diesel engines
  • Increases the fuel cetane number
  • Improves storage stability (Antioxidants)
  • Protects the fuel system against corrosion
  • Significant reduction of the foaming tendency of the diesel fuel
  • Excellent water separability
  • Positive effect on emissions (smoke, carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and particulates)
  • The fuel consumption should also be reduced, depending on vehicles and conditions
